CSC Confers Seal of Excellence Award to NSO CamSur
For its excellent performance in providing services to the public and its adherence to the requirements prescribed by RA 9485 or the Anti Red Tape Act of 2007, NSO Camarines Sur was conferred the Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award by the Civil Service Commission on March 29, 2012.
The award consists of a wall-mountable glass plaque along with a cash incentive of P75,000 that was given during a simple awarding rites organized by the CSC. It was attended by other heads of government agencies with frontline services like the LTO, SSS, Pag-ibig, and DepEd. Mayor John Bongat of Naga City also attended the event.
The CSC noted that it is the first time a Seal of Excellence Award was given to an NSO in the country and only the second time it was granted in Bicol Region.
Conferring the award was CSC 5 Regional Director Cecilia Nieto, who lauded the NSO Camarines Sur for a job well done and for exemplifying genuine public service through various innovations to ensure customer satisfaction. “Client’s satisfaction is our primary concern, especially for those offices rendering frontline services. These offices are subjected to a Report Card Survey, to obtain feedback if the provisions in their Citizen’s Charter are being observed.”
PSO Clemente Manaog, in his acceptance speech, bared the innovations done to improve its services including no-noon break and no quota policies. “Our main thrust is to ensure that our clients know how to get the service they need through the visible signages and procedures and that the services, as promised, are complied”, Manaog added.
Joining in congratulating NSO CamSur, via Skype, was CSC Chairman Francisco T. Duque III who expressed the Commission’s satisfaction to the NSO’s performance as he also posed a challenge to sustain the quality of service to the public.
