PSA to Conduct 2015 Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS)
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), is conducting the 2015 Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS). This survey is designed to collect data on tobacco use in countries with the highest smoking rates and track these countries’ progress in implementing tobacco-free programs over time. The 2015 GATS is a nationally representative household adult survey developed to systematically monitor adult tobacco use (smoking and smokeless) and track key tobacco control interventions. Funding for this survey is provided by the DOH. Technical support is provided by World Health Organization (WHO), US Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) and Research Triangle International (RTI).
In Camarines Sur there are 245 sample households to be enumerated. Enumeration starts on November 23, 2015 and ends on December 23, 2015.
